Honoring a Legacy of Excellence at CECPES: Graduation Robes Dedicated to Inspire Future Generations
More than just a piece of attire, graduation robes embody the rich history and traditions of higher education, serving as a tangible reminder of the intellectual journey undertaken by graduates. For this and more, the Centre for Clinical Pastoral Education and Social Services, CECPES, purchased and dedicated fifty, 50, robes at the Nkwen Baptist Centre on November 8, 2023. These will be used in the upcoming graduation ceremonies for the Certificates in Social Work and Clinical Pastoral Education.
Expressing his pleasure at the event was Mr. Warri Denis, Deputy Director of Administration and Finance. “This is a very important symbol of excellence and professionalism. Thank you, Rev Mbuh Julius and the entire CECPES team for working tirelessly to keep the mission for the creation of CCC/CECPES alive by taking the initiative to buy graduation robes among many other initiatives”.
The Centre for Clinical/Pastoral Education and Social Services is the Community Counseling Clinic (CCC) of the CBC Health Services which seeks to provide counseling to people who need guidance on how to deal with personal difficulties, or who want to grow further and live wholly. In addition to training seasoned counselors, they offer relationship counseling, personal growth, and self-discovery counseling by counselors who are emotionally and spiritually sensitive to the client’s needs.
The center is particular about persons struggling with personal and relational crises, loss and grief, anxiety, personal identity crisis, marital or family conflict, parenting worries, poor relationships with colleagues, and neighbors, premarital issues, divorce or separation, spiritual/religious conflicts, and sexual difficulties amongst others.
