Nkwen Baptist Hospital was created on May 2, 1979 as a dispensary and was finally upgraded into a full health centre in 1989.  The NBH is strategically located at the heart of health care provision in the capital city of the Northwest Region of Cameroon with an estimated population of 30.853 people.

The modern infrastructure has 114 bed capacity, and 250 staff who attend to over 600 clients daily and 18.000 on monthly basis as at July, 2019. The hospital boosts of a specialist doctor in orthopedics, two dentists and 34 nurses. NBH operates 24/7, carries out major surgeries and does admission in all the wards; children, women and men.
