Overview

The Idenau Baptist Health Centre (EBHC) was established on July 6, 2023, through the initiative of the members of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Idenau. Currently, the health centre operates from an incomplete church building. As of October 2024, the health centre employs seven staff members, including a screener working round the clock, and is averaging 200 patient visits per month. Presently, the centre offers only outpatient services, with plans to expand to inpatient care in the future. It serves patients from the surrounding communities, including; Bakingele, Debuncha, Nchonji, Esobe, New Layout, Block 12, Down Beach, Last Kumbo, Ncipio, ReFlox, Nsanje, and Enyenge. The most common conditions treated at the health centre are Helicobacter pylori infections and malaria.

Location

The health centre is located in Idenau, opposite the Gendarmerie Brigade and above the Veterinary Office. It is hosted by Ebenezer Baptist Church Idenau and operates under the Limbe Health District, West Coast Subdivision, Fako Division in the Southwest Region.
