Bonaberi Baptist Hospital Douala (BBHD) also known as “Mbingo Annex, Bonaberi” started as a Health Centre in November 2018. In Novermber 5, 2021 it was declared a Hospital during its second Anniversary.

It is located at Grand Hanger besides Michelin, about 100 Meters from the new Flyover in Bonaberi, Douala in the Litoral Region of Cameroon. it is affectionately referred to as “Mbingo Annex Bonaberi” by the population who perceive the hospital as the Anglophone hospital in the Bonaberi community especially by the internally displaced persons from the Northwest and Southwest Regions of Cameroon. 

The Hospital has a bed capacity of 74 including private ward services. It has 13 General practitioners, 6 Specialist doctors:- Pediatrician, cardiologist, 2 Dentists, 3 Screeners, Midwives, Nurses, Medical Technicians (Pharmacy technicians, Physiotherapy, Laboratory technician, Dental, etc). They work 24/7 to meet the needs of clients. The hospital sees an average of 250 clients per day.

It started with 43 staff and today the hospital pulls a staff body of 264 offering holistic services to the community of Bonaberi. These services range from Medical, Paramedical, Social, Technical Services, and all other services that contribute to the patients well-being while in hospital.
