The Cameroon Baptist Convention (CBC) Health Services is inviting applications from qualified Teachers to serve as Inclusive Education Trainers, within the context of a 3 year Inclusive Education Project (Promoting the Right to Education for Learners with Disabilities), implemented in the Northwest Region of Cameroon.
Terms: This is not an employment opportunity. Selected trainers will be engaged on an intermittent, activity-based basis to support specific training, mentoring, and follow-up activities under the project.
Candidates Profile
Interested candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Be a qualified Teacher (Primary, Secondary, or Teacher Training Institution);
- Demonstrate knowledge of Inclusive Education and experience working with diverse learners in mainstream classrooms;
- Have the ability to facilitate adult learning for teachers, parents/caregivers, and other stakeholders;
- Be available to participate in a Training of Trainers (ToT) and periodic project activities during 2026–2028.
Specialist Areas of Expertise
Applicants must demonstrate teaching experience in at least one of the following areas (two trainers will be selected per area):
- Deaf and hard-of-hearing learners
- Learners with visual impairment
- Learners with learning difficulties and emotional/behavioural challenges
- Learners with physical disabilities, including manual dexterity challenges
- Family and community engagement for inclusive education
Inclusive Pedagogy and UDL
All selected trainers will be trained in Inclusive Pedagogy and Universal Design for Learning (UDL), as part of the Training of Trainers programme. Prior formal training in UDL is an advantage, but not a requirement.
