The CBC Health Services Starts the Year with a Micro Planning Meeting
A Cross Section of Cameroon Baptist Convention (CBC) Health Services Leaders has started the year with a Micro Planning meeting geared towards evaluating the performance of the previous year and ensuring that all lapses are rectified to ensure a hitch-free 2024 in service delivery and financial management. The meeting that took place at the CBCHS Resource Center at Mvan, Yaounde, on January 19, 2024, was chaired by the Director of the CBC Health Services Professor Tih Pius Muffih. The leaders followed all the reports on work done and targets achieved across their respective facilities.
Speaking to the leaders in his spiritual devotional at the start of the meeting, the Supervisor of Chaplaincy Services for the CBCHS Reverend Ngwang Simon in a sermon drawn from Mathew 25: 14-30 and titled “The marks of a Godly Servant”, called on all leaders to be good managers of the things that God has put under their care, be faithful and accountable to what they have been given, and most importantly to avoid laziness, as, laziness is a mark of unfaithfulness.
The parable of the talent he demonstrated is used by Jesus to teach good and faithful servants as opposed to lazy and unfaithful servants. Elaborating on the passage, the Reverend Ngwang reminded leaders that God has given everyone abilities to be used for His glory. These gifts are given according to our respective abilities to manage them. He called on all to as Godly servants exhibit good time management which is a vital aspect of good leadership. Leaders should emulate the servants in this passage, especially those who made good use of their time. The CBCHS he acknowledged has a lot of talent and the leaders should endeavor to invest all the God-given talent faithfully and in a trustworthy manner. The outcome will always be rewards and more opportunities entrusted to the care of productive leaders.
Meeting the leaders officially for the first time since the start of the year, Prof Tih used the forum to thank the staff for the collective attendance. He wished them a happy new year while extending the gratitude of his family to leaders who showed them love during their family Thanksgiving mass that took place on January 7, 2024. This collective support he announced had raised the sum of 24.2 million which has facilitated the continuation of the church project to host pastors serving at the Nkwen Baptist church. He used this as an example to encourage more love and togetherness amongst the leaders of the CBC Health Services. For, love and togetherness will always yield beautiful fruits.
He implored all leaders to think and act collectively for success. With this, he made reference to some of the institutions that need sustenance from the support of progressive institutions. The dwindling performance of once-vibrant institutions he noted is due to the challenges faced, especially institutions based in the regions experiencing the socio-political crises in Cameroon.
He cautioned them to “continue to do the right thing that needs to be done to move CBC Health Services ahead. Focus on the services that God has called us to do for humanity and the Master, God will bless our efforts with more. We all have different talents in different measures, we should pray for God to help us to be reliable, faithful, and accountable to the talents that he has given us. Do not allow anybody to robe you of the happiness that you already have”.
The Deputy Director for Administration and Finance Mr. Warri Denis during the session praised Prof Tih for his virtues and his accomplishments. He joyfully congratulated Prof Tih for raising an Honorary Consul among his children. The congratulatory message came as the meeting coincided with the installation ceremony of His Excellency Donald A. Muffih [Prof Tih’s son] as the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Ghana to Cameroon. Mr. Warri revered a leader who has molded great leaders both at family and at institutional levels. The CBC Health Services Mvan Resource Center installation was officiated by the Governor of the Center Region, Naseri Paul Bea.
