CBC Health Services Hands over Transportation Means to Partner Organization
The Sustainable Development and Humanitarian Services (SUDASHER) Foundation- a partner organization of the Cameroon Baptist Convention (CBC) Health Services has been furnished with a new means of transportation.
Prof. Pius Tih Muffih, Director of CBC Health Services, in an address, called on SUDASHER to use the car only for the intended purpose it was acquired. “I charge you to faithfully use it for the purpose which it is intended,” he said. Prof. Tih used the opportunity to appreciate the funders, Liliane Foundation and MIVA Holland for the donation. To him, the funders have supported the CBC Health Services since 2014 to meet the needs of thousands of children with disabilities in the domains of health, social, and livelihood.
The provision of a means of transport to SUDASHER is to ease the work of the organization in enabling the full participation of children with disabilities in society on an equal basis with their peers without disabilities.
According to Sanguv Peter Fomunyuy, Chief Executive of SUDASHER the means of transport is a need met in time. Our organization has a mission to bring help to people and communities in need. “Sadly, most of these communities are in hard-to-reach areas necessitating the need for a means of transport which we didn’t have,” he said.
He added: I want to thank Liliane Foundation and MIVA through the CBC Health Services for making it possible to have this means of transport. I promise on the behest of the SUDASHER team that we will use this vehicle to take our services to persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups, who are our target beneficiaries.
Thus far, through the CBC Health Services, 25 partner organizations have received a means of transport from MIVA to enable disability mainstreaming in their operations.
The handover held on July 21, 2022, at the Baptist Centre Nkwen-Bamenda.
