The Cameroon Baptist Convention (CBC) Health Services requires the services of a qualified Consultant to support the training of learners with Print Disabilities as part of the implementation of ICT and Assistive Technology Trainings, within the context of the Inclusive Education Project implemented in the Northwest Region of Cameroon.
The selected Consultant shall support the organisation of a summer school to train learners with print disabilities, with particular focus on learners who are blind, or have severe vision impairment, in ICT skills and the use of assistive technology.
The selected Consultant shall:
- Collect baseline information on the capacities and training needs of prospective learner trainees,
- Develop an accessible and context-appropriate training package,
- Organize and facilitate a training within a duration of 10 – 15 days.
- Submit a brief final report with recommendations.
Consultant Profile
Interested candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Holder of at least a Master’s Degree in either Special Needs/Inclusive Education, Educational Technology, Rehabilitation, Disability Studies, ICT in Education, or a related field,
- Proven experience working with learners with vision impairment/blindness or print disabilities,
- Knowledge of accessible ICT and assistive technology,
- Experience in developing and facilitating training for children or young people,
- Have good report writing skills.
