Three Technical Advisers to Director of Health Services Farewelled after Commendable Services
Prof. Tih Pius Muffih, Director of Health Services has commended the [his] outgone Technical Advisers for valuable services rendered to the Cameroon Baptist Convention (CBC) Health Services.
“Their work constituted mentoring and training newly appointed Administrators as well as young staff, defending the organization’s mission statement, policies, and vision of the Health Board wherever they went. The made the work easy for [me] the Director of Health Services. It will be a big loss as they go,” said Prof. Tih.
He thanked them for making the CBC Health Services a reference that Cameroonian and people beyond would continue to look up to for needed medical care.
To the staff still in active service, Prof. Tih challenged them to uphold all values that have kept the service over the years. “I ask that you stay true to our mission, vision, and policies that have kept [us] the organization and avoid any divisive tendencies that may pull us back,” he stressed.
The Technical Advisers took turns to bring their responses. Dr. Fokom Gath, Technical Adviser No. 1 thanked the CBC Health Services for an opportunity to work. “The CBC Health Services is a system built together. I am glad to have been part of this building process. It is a system I worked in wholeheartedly. [As we hand the baton today], I hope that you, still active will keep the flag flying in offering top quality services”.
Mr. Ngam Joseph, Technical Adviser No. 2 on his part said the way forward for the CBC Health Services as they quit the stage is teamwork. “We are not little islands. Our gifts [skills] are not to compete with one another but to complement each other. You can be a very smart surgeon but you cannot work without a scrub nurse, anesthetist, or the surgical technician,” advised the seasoned Hospital Administrator.
Mr. Wirba Samuel, with 50 years of service; eight as Technical Adviser No. 3 said it was not an easy ride to have served for those number of years. According to him, it took God’s grace and consciousness to go beyond the call of duty to have come thus far.
“If you see how much we have grown as a service, you would agree that our fore leaders laid a good foundation. So, copy their example and do better for the future. Go beyond the call of duty and strife for excellence,” urged the now-retired Pa. Wirba as he was fondly called during his active work life.
In an earlier devotional tagged, “The Gath’s, Joseph’s, and Samuel’s Valedictory”, Rev. Ngwang Simon said it was a rare privilege to put in years of service and end with an official farewell ceremony. Sermonizing on “What it takes to receive a reward for our service on to the Lord”, the prelate said a good fight of faith was paramount. As people who want to receive a reward for our labour in the Lord, let us stay focused, content with the faith and strife to finish strong, admonished Rev. Ngwang.
The send forth in honour of the Technical Advisers held on January 7, 2022 at the Nkwen Baptist Hospital.
