The Second batch of the finance clerk training was officially launched on July 1, 2025 at the Nkwen Baptist Centre main hall following the end of theoretical training for the first batch on June 28, 2025. The 45 trainees in the first batch are currently on practical experience in CBC Health Services facilities for a period of six months.

The importance of the recruitment and training of finance clerks cannot be over-emphasized as it has been the major entry point of many who grow and rise to leadership positions in the CBC Health Services administration and finance. The opening session of the second batch of trainees, therefore, witnessed the presence of key leaders; the Deputy Director of Administration and Finance (DDAF), Mr. Warri Dennis, the Administrator of Nkwen Baptist Hospital, Ms Tangwa Faith and the Personnel Manager of the CBC Health Services, Mr. Ndosak George.

The event began with a prayer and word from Pastor Shey Felix, Chaplain at the CBCHS Central Administration, drawing inspiration from Luke 16:10 under the theme, “Stewards of Gods resources”. He emphasised on God’s principle given to us to manage resources. First, by recognising that everything belongs to God, second, remembering Budgeting as the spiritual discipline of planning and lastly, avoiding debt quoting Proverbs 22: 7.
Pastor Shey Felix admonished as follows, “You are taking a divine journey, a divine course and God has spoken a lot about money in the Bible and you will define it with Prayer. You are not here just to talk about some figures but you are here to not only obey God but also to discipline yourself, focus and trust in Gods vision for you and you will succeed in your career”.
The Administrator of the Nkwen Baptist Hospital, Ms Tangwa Faith welcomed the students and encouraged them towards going through the course. She said, “You are at the right place and our doors are always open for you for anything you need. Be encouraged and be focused. The future is pregnant and don’t let fear of anything be a distraction”.

After introducing the students and facilitators, the course coordinator, Mr. Suika Enoch also introduced the course outline to the students in a brief summary emphasising that the course is a highly specialised course, urging the students not to take it for granted. He remarked thus, “This is where we form our evolving Government. This is also where we open our minds and build a Citadel of the CBC health Services”. The course coordinator encouraged the students to be diligent and serious in this training as it is an opportunity for them to learn and be part of the CBC Health Services Finances.
For his part, the Personnel Manager, Mr. Ndosak George congratulated the students on their accomplishment of coming thus far and urged them not to relent in their efforts in becoming part of the CBC Health Services.

The Deputy Director of Administration and Finance (DDAF), Mr. Warri Denis cued in to also welcome and congratulate the students. “We are welcoming you to the CBC Health Services but we are also welcoming you home. You are not only coming to meet your colleagues and supervisors but also your brothers and sisters. It is not all about work, it’s about fostering good relationships with people who will constitute a home”. Mr. Warri Denis went further to highlight the essence and importance of the high-quality services the CBC Health Services provide and the expectation of excellence in everything that concerns the institution. He said, “We expect our workers to exhibit excellence taking into consideration we have weaknesses and we will sharpen each other. This is what this training is for. For us to learn and help ourselves perform in excellence.
The DDAF also highlighted the need for personal discipline reminding the new trainees that they are stewards and caretakers, handling Gods resources and if handled well they shall be rewarded by God. On this note the DDAF, Mr. Warri Denis officially launched the second batch of the Finance clerk training for 2025.
