Sabga Baptist Health Centre (SBHC) which started in 1986 as a community health post with only two workers, is today one of the outstanding health centers of the CBC Health Services and remains a pacesetter in service delivery in the predominantly Fulani settlement of Sabga. It is one of the first ProFam centres in the CBC Health Services to be approved in 2014. With dozens of staff, the Health Centre is open 24/7 attending to an average of 500 patients per month. The Supervising Hospital; Mbingo Baptist Hospital (MBH) pays a doctors suport visit regualraly to the HC. Patients come from Sabga and neighbouring settlements like Ndop, Balikumbat, Bamessing and Small Babanki. The Health Center has over 20 beds spread in four different wards. Sabga Baptist HC offer outpatient and inpatient services to its patients.
Out Patient Services
The Health center offers the following outpatient services:
- General Consultation,
- Maternal Child Health Services,
- Laboratory Services,
- Pharmacy Services,
- Treatment Room (minor Surgeries),
- Family Planning,
- Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission (PMTCT) services,
- Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI),
- Infant Welfare Clinic (IWC),
- Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) for HIV,
The Health center offers the following Inpatient services:
- Admissions into many Wards,
- Laundry Services,
- Chaplaincy Services,
- Security Services.
Sabga Baptist Health Centre is located on the way to Ndop from Bamenda just before you descend the famous Sabga Hill. It is found in Tubah Sub Division, Mezam Division of the Northwest Region of Cameroon. Sabga is bounded by Bambili, Bambui, Kedjom Keku, Tikebeng and Kedjom Ketingo health areas.
