Leaders of CBC Health Services Specialized Departments Drilled on PMEL Strategy
Mr. Warri Denis, Deputy Director of Health Services for Administration and Finance (DDAF) has called on Heads of Specialized Services of the Cameroon Baptist Convention (CBC) Health Services to fully embrace and implement the Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (PMEL) system instituted by the organization recently. He was addressing the leaders at the start of the PMEL Workshop for Specialized Services of the CBC Health Services on July 14, 2022, at the Nkwen Baptist Center Hall.
The DDAF appreciated the team for the commendable work done in their various stations. He further called on them to use the workshop to learn strategies that can keep the CBC Health Services afloat.
During the workshop, Achataseh Godwill, the lead facilitator emphasized the need for the leaders to ensure that reporting is part of their daily work. To him, work done and not reported means no work done. He said the PMEL strategy is a tool to ensure that the values of the system are sustained over time. PMEL is aimed at building a resilient CBC Health Services with an evidence-based driven system.
The leaders were drilled on the importance of PMEL in their operations, how to define Key Performance Indicators for reporting as well as how to get their team members to work on this. The interactions of the participants at the workshop were proof of their commitment to scale up the strategy thereafter in their various units.
