A Story of Hope
At 3, little Bih could still not walk, had a strange skin disease with persistent running stomach. Everyone believed she belong to the mother left the child to die in the care of her old mother-in-law. It was in a community outreach that Bih was discovered and found to have lived with HIV since birth.
Eliza’s Story
Eliza is 24 years old and mother of 7 children after 5 births. She was diagnosed HIV positive in 2006 and immediately initiated to treatment. This diagnosis however almost destabilized her:“If I didn’t die at that time it is thanks to God. I had heard that HIV kills and so Eliza’s story shows the importance of knowing our HIV status and accepting and I thought that was the end of my life”
