Wednesday, June 24 in Bamenda, the Executive Director of Christian Connections for International Health (CCIH) visited key departments of Nkwen Baptist Hospital, made courtesy call on all the departments of the CBC Central Administration before settling down in the DHS Conference Hall to receive a presentation of an overview of the CBCHS aptly done by the Executive Officer for Operations and Development in the Director of Health Services’ Office.

At each point, the Executive Director of Christian Connections for International Health (CCIH) asked critical questions, which answers provided a platform for the leaders to think on how to improve either on their services or on the partnerships with other departments and organizations. For instance, the Director of Evangelism and Missions, Rev. Dr. Paul Mokake was stimulated to share how valuable a recent workshop organised by the Ecumenical Pharmaceutical Network (EPN) and the CBCHS reflected the synergy between health and the church in the area of humanitarian response.

Amazed with the expanse of the CBCHS covering all 10 regions of Cameroon, Douglas Fountain described the CBCHS as a robust and forward-looking health system. The CEO of CCIH said, the CBCHS is a voice to trust and a leader in the international scene that cannot be ignored. He applauded the strategic leadership of the CBCHS and challenged them to venture into those activities that seem like failure.

Quizzed on what stroke him the most throughout the visit, the Executive Director of Christian Connections for International Health (CCIH) named the manufacturing of Hesco Water and IV fluids at the Central Pharmacy. He confessed that in all his travels in Africa, organizations claim to manufacture but he has never witnessed example that he saw in CP Mutengene.
