Bapi Primary Health Center (BPHC) was created by the CBC Health Board’s Life Abundant Primary Healthcare
Programme (LAP) in 1985 following an application from Mama Mathalina (Magdaline) Njogue requesting for the creation of a PHC in the Bapi Community in the West Region of Cameroon. Today, the PHC has a staff capacity of 6 including two nurses who work 24/7 attending to over 200 on monthly bases. Clients mostly present with malaria, epilepsy which is most rampant in the community, and STDs like Gonorrhea and other common ailments. . The PHC is growing in infrastructure and equipment. It has four wards, with 13-bed capacity. Clients come from Baleng, Verla, Ndoumbe, Badeng, and Banefo villages.
Outpatient Services
The outpatient services offered in the PHC include:
- General consultation,
- Antenatal Clinic (ANC),
- Laboratory,
- Pharmacy,
- Minor surgeries notably circumcisions
Inpatient Services
The inpatient services offered in the PHC include:
- The PHC does admissions of medical cases into the different Wards.
- There is also a Maternity Ward where delivery services are offered.
- The PHC offers community services like sensitization and vaccination.

The Bapi PHC is situated at the center of Baleng, Bamegoum, Badeng and Banefo villages some 20km from Baffoussam town in the West Region of Cameroon.
