Dr. Yungseh Peter Nshiom, erstwhile Associate Administrator of Mboppi Baptist Hospital Douala, MBHD, has taken over the command baton as the Administrator of MBHD. He took over on February 10, 2026 from Mr. Yongwa Zaccs who has served for four years in MBHD as Senior Administrator. Mr. Yongwa Zaccs has been transferred to Yaounde in charge of Special Duties from the Director Health Services in the Center Region of Cameroon.
The Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Ndi Norah Nyah welcomed the DHS’ representative, Mr. Warri Denis (DDAF), Douala Field Pastor and invitees. She appreciated Mr. Yongwa Zaccs for selfless service unto humanity and said the leadership of the MBHD is ready to support the incoming Administrator Dr. Yungseh Peter.
During the ceremony, the Deputy Director of CBC Health Services for Administration and Finance (DDAF), Mr. Warri Denis congratulated the outgoing Senior Administrator and charged the incoming Administrator to lead with integrity, faithfulness and compassion. The DDAFalso called on the incoming Administrator to carry forward the exemplary standards set by his predecessor and encouraged the entire staff to extend their fullest support to ensure the sustainable success of the CBC Health Services.
The handing over ceremony was witnessed by, the Douala Field Pastor Rev. Nchambeli Ezekiel, the Douala Center Association Pastor, Rev. Dr. Ngoh Fabian, former Administrator of MBHD, Pa Nfor Daouda, the Administrator of Bonaberi Baptist Hospital Douala, Mr. Nfor Gamngong Emmanuel, the SNS of Baptist Hospital Mutengene, Mme. Yong Genevieve among other dignitaries from Douala Field and beyond.
The outgoing Senior Administrator appreciated the General Council of the CBC, the DHS for his retirement extension and the entire staff for supporting him within four years of effective service in MBHD. He urged all the staff to give Dr. Yungseh Peter the respect he deserves and the assistance that he needs.
Dr. Yungseh Peter praised the CBC Health Services hierarchy for their renewed confidence and promised to put in his energy to ensure MBHD remains tall in providing quality care to the entire community, Cameroon and beyond.
The Douala Field Pastor, Rev. Nchambeli Ezekiel and the Association Pastor prayed to thank God for the life of Mr. Yongwa Zaccs in MBHD as an Administrator and solicited guidance and the spirit of leadership in the new era of Dr. Yungseh Peter respectively.
The handing over ceremony was spiced with special presentation from the security department staff, facility keepers and above all MBHD choir.
