To say he now has less than 50 media awards under his belt is an understatement! Prof. Tih Pius Muffih, former Director of Health Services (DHS) became a true and honest friend to the media family in Cameroon when he embraced them as a major stakeholder in disseminating health information from activities of the CBC Health Services during his tenure of leadership. The expansion of the CBC Health Services and the impact created in taking quality healthcare services to every nook and cranny of the country is prompting the media organs to continue awarding Prof. Tih Pius even in retirement.

Although already on retirement, Tim Finnian called on Prof. Tih to continue to use his good name to bring good things to the CBC Health Services in particular and humanity as a whole.

The award of the Prime International Media Group designated Prof. Tih with the title, ‘Sir’, a title rooted in English tradition for knighted personalities. All the media organs congratulated the wife of Prof. Tih Pius (Helen) who has stood as a strong support to her husband to achieve much for humanity.

Responding to all that were said and done, the happy recipient, Prof. Tih Pius Muffih gave all the glory to God for enabling him to achieve what he could do as Director of Health Services. In his usual fashion, he dedicated the awards to his close collaborators and entire CBC Health Servic es staff who backed him up to achieve as much. Prof. Tih re-echoed his wish to see the CBC Health Services sustained and stronger than ever. For this to happen, he advocated for continuous training and development of personnel to man the services. To the media family and friends, the public health expert said, “Thank you for doing a good job to inform and educate the masses”. The former DHS advised the media to also pay attention to those he trained and are currently leading the CBC Health Services now. “They also deserve to be awarded,” he quipped.
