Seven months after the official inauguration of the Poss Baptist Health Center (PBHC), annex of Meskine Baptist Hospital, a delegation of local elites, administrative officials, and traditional authorities returned to the site recently to evaluate the evolution of services offered to the population.
Welcomed by the Administrator of Meskine Baptist Hospital, Mr. Alain Kouamo, the delegation was guided through the different care units, where they noticed the progress, interacted with both staff and beneficiaries.

During the visit, the Sultan of Pouss, His Majesty Oumar MBANG ABBA MBANG expressed his satisfaction with the commitment and availability of the health care staff. He also encouraged the community to take ownership of the center, which has brought services closer to the population. “We are very grateful to the CBCHS for this center. The population no longer needs to travel long distances to access treatment. We can only thank you,” he declared.
The local elites, for their part, reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services (CBCHS) in its efforts to strengthen access to quality health care in this border area.

In addition, the Administrator of Meskine Baptist Hospital, Mr. Alain Kouamo convened a working session with the staff of the health center. This consultation allowed for a provisional assessment of the progress achieved so far, identification of the challenges that remain, and discussion of possible solutions to further improve service delivery.
This evaluation visit forms part of a monitoring and community-engagement approach, underlining the importance local authorities place on public health and the sustainability of the infrastructures that were inaugurated in March this year.
