The CBC Health Services with support from her partner organisations has donated a vehicle to the Associated Rehabilitation Centre for the Handicapped, ARCH, in Dibanda, Buea, Southwest region.

Handing over the vehicle on Tuesday, July 15, the Director of Health Services, DHS, Mr. Ngum Samuel expressed sincere gratitude to the donors, the Liliane Foundation and MIVA, based in the Netherlands. “Since 2014, they have not only supported the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services, CBCHS, as their Strategic Partner Organization in Cameroon but have extended their generosity to other key development actors by providing them with different types of transportation and communication equipment,” the DHS revealed.

The DHS called on the Director of ARCH Dibanda to put the vehicle to judicious use in line with the terms of agreement signed with the CBCHS. “Please understand that in advocating for this grant, we invested not only time and effort, but also, the credibility and reputation of our organization. Misuse and non-compliance would not affect only your organization but may also damage the strong, long-standing partnership we have built with our international donors and jeopardize future opportunities for other worthy organizations,” Mr. Ngum admonished.

The Rev. Sister incharge of ARCH committed that the vehicle will be used for outreach to vulnerable populations in hard-to-reach communities of the Southwest region. She thanked the donors, Liliane Foundation and MIVA, through the CBCHS, and affirmed that the vehicle will enhance her organizational capacity to improve the quality of life for children and adults with disabilities both at the center and within their communities.

The DHS was accompanied to ARCH Dibanda in Buea by leaders of Baptist Hospital Mutengene and others from the Health Services Complex Mutengene.
