Mr. Takwe Boniface, the Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Prevention and Control Manager for CBC Health Services has presented the organization’s successful “Know Your Numbers” (KYN) strategy at the 2025 Global NCD Alliance Forum in Kigali, Rwanda. The forum which held from February 12 to 15, 2025 brought together over 700 delegates from 90 countries to discuss leadership on NCDs.
Mr. Takwe’s presentation highlighted the numerous benefits of implementing the KYN strategy, including Increased awareness, Expanded screening, Lifestyle assessment, Personalized counseling, Empowerment for health, its Flexibility, and Risk assessment just to name a few.
The 2025 Global NCD Alliance Forum, the first to be held in Africa, was convened by the NCD Alliance in partnership with the Rwanda NCD Alliance, the Rwanda Ministry of Health, and the Rwanda Biomedical Centre. The event served as a platform for NCD civil society representatives, national and regional NCD alliances, youth, and people living with NCDs to collaborate and share best practices in the fight against NCDs.
