The vision 2017 Conference has taken place in the Hague Netherlands. During the conference CBCHS submitted 2 abstracts to the vision 2017 conference which were both accepted. And an award for the organization to participate .The CBR Supervisor, Low vision Therapist by profession was delegated to represent the organization
The Internal Society for Low Vision Research and Rehabilitation (ISLRR) participants at the conference are people from a variety of disciplines working in the field of research and development for rehabilitation of people with vision impairment. This includes ophthalmologists, optometrists, orthoptists, physicists, psychologists, therapists, physicians, and clinical healthcare professionals, among others.
The objectives of the ISLRR are:
- to stimulate scientific research in the field of low vision and in the field of rehabilitation of people with low vision.
- to promote the exchange of information in these fields.
The society aims to achieve these goals by:
- Coordinating and distributing information by means of courses, workshops, symposia and international conferences.
- Issuing publications.
- Stimulating general communication on low vision and the rehabilitation of people with low vision.
